A lot can be said about the changing of substrate mixtures. At the start of April, RHP spent the entire technical meeting in Riga on this topic. A lot of knowledge was shared with nearly 50 participants of certified companies in the Baltic States with the name ‘Step-by-step understanding growing media’.
The technical presentations were taken care of by director Hein Boon, researcher Hans Verhagen and technical advisor Marco Zevenhoven. Topics that were discussed are: pH and nutrition of growing media influenced by raw materials, water and air capacity of growing media influenced by raw materials and several examples from practice.
An interpreter translated everything simultaneously into Russian during the meeting. During the day there were many possibilities for participants to discuss the topics and ask questions concerning substrates and mixtures.
