It is already the 10th Knowledge Day Substrate that Wageningen University & Research and RHP, knowledge centre for substrates, are jointly organising on April 15 from 13:30 to 18:00 CEST in the World Horti Center in Naaldwijk, The Netherlands. Participation in this event will be only possible on location and is mainly in Dutch.
Cultures on growing media are gaining importance worldwide as the basis for high-yielding and low-emission cultures. At the same time, the Dutch substrate industry (and part of Western Europe) is going through a transition to the use of more sustainable raw materials. This is done in line with the Dutch covenant Environmental Impact Potting Soil and Substrates (18 November 2022).
Knowledge and research institutions have been conducting intensive research into renewable materials for many years, and growers and substrate producers are increasingly working with renewable raw materials. Meanwhile, a market is developing that brings both new risks and opportunities. During this day, speakers will share their vision and outline opportunities to further develop growing media.
Wageningen University & Research and RHP are organizing the 10th Knowledge Day Substrate in the World Horti Center in Naaldwijk, The Netherlands. The program includes: presentations, a panel discussion with stakeholders from the entire supply chain, and plenty of opportunities for discussion and networking during the breaks and the closing drink.
The knowledge day is open to all interested parties and is aimed at growers, culture advisors, substrate producers, composters, fertilizer manufacturers and other interested people.
Participation in the Knowledge Day Substrate costs 150 euros (incl. VAT) per person. Certified companies that are affiliated with RHP or members of the Dutch ‘Glastuinbouw’ will receive a significant discount if they register before April 1!
