On March 26, the annual harmonisation day took place for the auditors of the quality marks RHP and RAG. The certification coordinator and technical advisors of RHP updated the inspectors from the certification bodies on the new and revised modules and requirements in the product certification schemes. The day focused on achieving a uniform interpretation of the schemes and sharing practical experiences to ensure consistent audits for the quality marks.
A key objective of the harmonisation day is to ensure a uniform interpretation of the new modules and standards. Therefore, the updated product certification schemes of RHP and RAG were reviewed together. Various changes and additions were discussed during the session, including the new module for analysis packages, the new module for general requirements regarding the storage of counter samples, and the additional requirements for communication about end products.
As in previous years, there was also room for feedback from the auditors, who shared their practical experiences and discussed specific points of attention from audits. Topics covered included the future prescription to deliver with growing media, audit experiences in Asia, the coordination of international company visits, the inspection of company hygiene and the steam process for bark. The latter was a particular point of focus last year.
The employees of RHP look back on a successful day and trust that this day contributes to the quality and uniformity of the audits.
